Corel ActiveCGM Browser ActiveX Control is a Windows-only ActiveX component for rendering and interacting with CGM (Computer Graphics Metafile) technical illustrations inside web pages and desktop applications. Widely used in aerospace, defense, and manufacturing, it supports industry profiles such as WebCGM and ATA iSpec 2200, making it suitable for interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs). The control offers fast vector display, pan and zoom, fit-to-window, layer and sheet toggling, hotspot and hyperlink navigation, callout highlighting, text search, and printing. It can be embedded in Internet Explorer or any COM-aware host and exposes an API for integration and event handling, enabling customization and workflow automation. Designed for secure, read-only viewing of complex technical graphics, it remains a legacy solution: because it relies on ActiveX, it targets older IE/Windows environments and may require compatibility settings or alternative viewers in modern browsers.
